Start Building Your Career Before Graduation
In partnership with the Cripple Creek-Victor High School, the Adult Career Connection Center is proud to offer Career and Technology Education (CTE) programs that prepare our juniors and seniors for real-world success after graduation. Through hands-on learning, career exploration, and skill development, students gain valuable experience that can lead directly to employment, apprenticeships, or internships. Where available, students can also participate in on-the-job training and work-based learning opportunities, giving them the chance to develop skills and experience before they graduate.
Students explore in-demand career pathways through:
Culinary Arts (ProStart): Gain practical experience in the culinary and hospitality industry while developing skills that can lead to employment, continued education, or advancement in the field.
Fire Science & Wildland Firefighting: Explore careers in fire service and wildland firefighting while building foundational knowledge, hands-on skills, and an understanding of the expectations of this challenging and rewarding field.
Construction Trades (Welding, Carpentry, and Plumbing): Develop hands-on skills in welding and carpentry while exploring career opportunities in the construction and skilled trades industries.
From classroom to career, C.T.E. is about more than learning a skill it is about discovering what you’re good at, gaining experience, and seeing where that skill can take you. Through ACCC programming and partnerships with schools, employers, and training providers, students can begin building a career pathway before they graduate, helping them enter the workforce with greater confidence, practical experience, and skills employers need. Your career can start before your diploma does. Explore your options. Build your skills. Start your future.
